Side "U" Channel, "H" Channel, or "L" Angle feature aluminum side and sill channels to help reduce light gaps between the window frame and the shade fabric in places where room darkening is desired. Not available with all products. Both "U" and "H" channels accept channel liners.

"U" Channel dimensions are 1" (25 mm) deep x 2-1/2" (64 mm) wide, and mount to the jamb or face of window opening. Optional caps available for “U” Channel.

"U" Channel dimensions: 1" deep x 2-1/2" wide. Mounts to the jamb or face of window opening. Optional caps and channel liner available.

"H" Channel dimensions: 1" deep x 5" wide and are face mounted. Optional channel liner available.

"L" Angles dimensions: 3/4" deep x 1" wide or 1" deep x 2-3/4" wide and mount inside the jamb.

"H" Channels dimensions are 1" (25 mm) deep x 5" (127 mm) wide and are face mounted.

"L" Angles dimensions are 3/4" (19 mm) deep x 1" (25 mm) wide or 1" (25 mm) deep x 2-3/4" (70 mm) wide and mount inside the jamb.

ANSI/WCMA A100.1 Compliance

If clutch-operated roller shades are installed in an environment where it's possible that young children will be present, they should comply with ANSI/WCMA A100.1, the Standard for Safety of Window Coverings.

If the shades that you purchase need to comply with this standard, it is your responsibility to inform Draper and opt-in to receive compliant products at time of order.

Compliant window shades will include:

Pre-installed spring-loaded chain tension device with bead chain threaded through it
Approved permanent warning label attached
Approved mechanical fasteners for the tension device included

If the tension device is not installed properly, or becomes unattached from the mounting surface, the shade will be rendered partially inoperable. If installed properly, the tension device will prevent the creation of a hazardous loop and will maintain tension on the bead chain. The tension device and label require tools to be removed.
